It means taking a raw piece of cold rolled or sheets of precious metals, then hand cutting, hammering, and shaping the metal into the desired design. This process makes handmade jewelry almost 50% harder than cast jewelry.

• Ear wires are hand cut from a roll of 20 gauge sterling silver, .032 diameter wire, then hand forged into shape.

• Hand crafted ear wire design attaches copper bar with a secure closed loop.
